UPLB TRAIL: Terminal for Resource Access and Information Links
A central web directory and portal designed for students, faculty, and staff of the University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB) to easily find and access key university websites and resources.
Project Overview
UPLB TRAIL acts as a central hub to connect the UPLB community to the vast network of university websites, pages, and other links. Navigating UPLB's web ecosystems can be challenging, particularly for new students and visiting staff.
The platform indexes and categorizes hundreds of university resources. It utilizes Fuse.js, a lightweight fuzzy search library, to ensure users get fast, accurate results even with typos or partial keywords. It also features a trending keywords tracker to showcase commonly accessed services.
All backend data is sourced and updated dynamically from the UPLB Office of Student Affairs (OSA) registry and stored securely in Supabase. The front-end is hosted on Vercel to guarantee high availability, lightning-fast response times, and premium responsiveness.
