ICS-ASTRA: Alumni Synced Tracking for Relations and Advancement
A web-based platform designed for the Institute of Computer Science at the University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB). The project aims to replace manual record-keeping with a centralized system that helps the institute maintain current records of its graduates, organize fundraising, and streamline communication.
Project Overview
ICS-ASTRA is a comprehensive web-based platform built and fully deployed for the Institute of Computer Science (ICS) at the University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB). The system replaces manual, paper-based workflows with a centralized solution for alumni relations, career tracking, and advancement initiatives.
The platform was deployed for a month using DigitalOcean during the project festival, the project was well received by faculty and was impressed by it.
Built with Progressive Web App (PWA) capabilities, it offers graduating students and alumni a mobile-friendly portal to update profiles, join events, apply for job opportunities, and receive real-time notifications. Making it easier for the school to communicate with alumni and for alumni to connect with each other.
