HATID: Agricultural E-Commerce Web Application
An e-commerce solution designed for the Department of Agriculture to connect farmers directly to local public markets, eliminating middlemen markup.
Project Overview
HATID (meaning 'to deliver' or 'to bring') is an agricultural web platform built to empower local farmers by providing a direct-to-consumer digital marketplace. By connecting producers directly with municipal hubs and individual buyers, the platform cuts down on middleman markups, ensuring better profit margins for farmers and fresher produce for the public.
The platform is structured around two primary user roles. Customers can easily register, log in, browse agricultural products distributed by the Department of Agriculture (DA), and proceed to checkout. Once orders are placed, pre-assigned admins review, confirm, and approve these checkouts to prepare them for final delivery.
Built on the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express, React, Node.js), HATID features an optimized, lightweight front-end with Tailwind CSS, ensuring smooth usage even in regions with limited network speeds.
